I opened this rather small gift at Christmas, and much to my surprise (and delight) one of my kids helped usher me into the 21st century technology world via an iPod Shuffle. This little Shuffle simply amazes me. In addition to the music, I’m having a great time sampling podcasts.

Todd Henry, of Accidental Creative fame, tossed a zinger to me yesterday, ending his podcast with:

“It is the age of creativity. Cover bands don’t change the world. You’ve got to find your own voice.”

I may stick with this podcast for awhile. I often am inspired by the thoughts, examples, experiments, and successes of others. I am tempted too frequently to be a cover band. I’m learning, and Crossroads is helping me to be inspired and motivated by others, but to resist the cover band temptation. I’m committed to finding the voice Christ has given me. Relax.  You won’t hear me at any American Idol screening.
