FAQ

It's not quite Letterman's Top Ten, but here are the most frequently asked questions about Crossroads.

Can't find your question? Contact us and we'll get back with you.

What time do your services begin?

We have 3 experiences. The first is at 8:30am, the second at 10:00am, and the third is at 11:30am. During the 10:00am experience and in addition to our regular adult experience, we  have Kid Fusion, which is a family oriented experience during which parents learn together with their children.

How long do the services last?

Our services generally last about one hour. We begin with about 15 minutes of praise and worship, and then the message.

Approximately how many people attend each of your services?

We are currently averaging about 1300 people in total attendance each Sunday.

What denomination is Crossroads?

Crossroads is a somewhat independent community church. However, we do participate in the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), primarily in their fantastic missionary effort around the world as evidenced by recent SBC efforts in New Orleans.

Our doctrinal statement also reflects SBC roots. The SBC was also very supportive during Crossroads' formative years.

Can parents keep their children with them during the service?

While we encourage you to send your children to our age-appropriate children's classes, many parents take their kids into the adult service with them until they are comfortable with leaving them.

Kids and parents can participate together in our Kid Fusion experience.

Does the church offer communion? If so, when and how often is it done?

Yes, we do have communion. We have communion about 4 times per year. Communion takes place at our Wednesday Night of Praise (NOP).Watch the website or the worship brochure for news of our next NOP.

We also encourage our Small Groups to hold communion. We encourage everyone to find a  Small Group that you are comfortable with and that meets regularly. In a small group, communion takes place in homes in a more intimate setting with a group you know and trust.

How do we join Crossroads Cruisers?

Easy! Call the church 266 1919 for the latest information.

How often is the C.L.A.S.S. program given?

Approximately four times a year.

Do you have to attend CLASS 101 to become a member?

In order to become a Crossroads member, you do need to take Class 101. Once you take the class and learn about our church and our vision, you are given the opportunity to become a member.

If you have not attended a C.L.A.S.S. or become a member, is it still permissible to join a ministry team?

Usually, if you agree to attend the next available Class 101, it is permissible to join a ministry team. This decision is left to the discretion of the team leader.

What are the expectations of membership?

There are four expectations of membership, which are explained in Class 101. They are:

  • Protect the unity of our church
  • Share the responsibility of our church
  • Serve the ministry of our church
  • Support the testimony of our church
