God Is So Good, Even In Tragedy

My world changed the day my son was born, January 14, 2006. I had trusted God to do as he wills with my son since the very beginning of my pregnancy. I had threatened to miscarry, had gestational diabetes and prayed that God would allow whatever He willed for me and my baby. Luckily, I carried him to term and went into labor. However, I began bleeding profusely during labor and was forced to have an emergency c-section due to placental abruption.

My son, Ethan Amari, was born at 6:34am and wasn't breathing. The doctors bagged him and said they would be transporting him to the NICU to be on the ventilator and because he was deprived of oxygen, he probably had brain damage, but a new procedure called a "cooling cap" could help reduce the brain damage. He was transferred to U of M.

Tithing and What It Means to Me..
Tithing and what it means to me..

I often wonder why people say that they can't afford to tithe, when I
can't afford not to. I hear people say all the time that there is not enough money left after bills to tithe; yet my bills wouldn't be paid if I didn't tithe.

This is my story.

The People Are Crossroads

Thank You for the Chance to Serve
I enjoy serving at Crossroads. No one ever said “you’re not needed” or “I don’t think that is right for you.” Everyone is friendly, helpful, and eager to help. I am serving in two ministries and enjoy both of them. Thank you for the chance to serve and thank God for Crossroads. I am praying for the staff as well as the new building. May God bless Crossroads indeed. ~Marilyn

10 Fold
God has blessed me and my family 10 fold in many different areas. He has helped us realize the importance of family, the requirement to maintain integrity no matter what the cost, and most importantly, to realize that God is in control no matter what the circumstance. Our focus is much clearer thanks to our Lord. Our faith is more intense and our forgiveness (for others) is much more urgent. We realize that we should be focusing on the needs of others and fill these needs (we still struggle in this area). Our faith has been increased and we continue to trust God for our finances, our safety, and our emotional stability. We continue to learn that the phrase “what would Jesus do” applies to us. We are blessed. ~Mike

My love for God is continuing to grow.
I lost my son to stillbirth on New Years Day, 2006. I had lost all faith in everything and my life spun out of control and hit rock bottom. My father told me to come to this Church and slowly, but surely, change is coming to me and my love for God is continuing to grow. ~Morrissa

The More I Came, the More I Listened and Trusted
I lost my interest in Church and understanding of God. A friend asked me to come to service with her; I did. At first I felt like WOW this isn’t Church, it’s nice entertainment. The more I came, the more I listened and trusted in the Word, the more I felt at home and became closer to God and found a home at Crossroads! I have my daughter coming now. I need to get the rest of the family to come. ~Mary
